Actress Trisha Krishnan is one of very few South Indian actresses to have successfully completed 25 years in cinema. Even today the Ghilli actress runs a tight schedule with projects across multiple languages in her kitty. The Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa actress had her last outing in Leo directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj with actor Vijay in lead. The actress who is basking in the success of the film is soon set to make her debut in the digital space with her web series christened Brinda. The Telugu Tamil bilingual tv series is helmed by director Surya Manoj Vangala. He has sought the assistance of writer Padmavathi Malladi to fashion the screenplay of the series. Brinda is all set to premiere on Sony Liv OTT platform from 2nd of August.
Earlier this month the production house had unveiled the teaser of the series. Now they have released the trailer on social media. Taking to their official X profile, streaming platform Sony Liv dropped the trailer of Brinda and worded, “Unravel the mystery with Brinda! The trailer opens to Trisha Krishnan’s character Brinda striding angrily out of a building. A character intrudes and enquiries. She responds in rage, “AH! He threw me out, suspended me, enough? Where were you these last nine years? You could not solve the case. And now you can solve it without me? Do it, let us see!” The series is said to be based on superstitious ancient rituals carried out with human sacrifices. Specifically, women and children. Talking about the entertainer to a leading media house, story teller Surya Manoj Vangala stated, “Brinda’s character has different shades. As the story progresses it gradually explores every layer of it one by one. The series will not just captivate the audience but will make them ruminate on their beliefs. I am glad I got the opportunity to work with Trisha Krishnan. I am grateful that I could scale Brinda into a pan-India series with Sony Liv.”
The cast of the series also has actors Indrajith Sukumaran, Anand Sami, Jaya Prakash, Ravindra Vijay, Aamani, and Rakendu Mouli depicting various supporting roles. Musician Shakti Kanth Karthik has taken care of the musical department. Cinematographer Dinesh K Babu has cranked cameras for the venture. Editor Anwar Ali has overseen the editing division. Action masters Chetan D’Souza and Jeevan Kumar have fashioned action blocks for the drama. The project is funded by Sony Liv OTT platform.
On the professional front, actress Trisha Krishnan recently wrapped up shooting for her next film Vidaa Muyarchi crafted by Magizh Thirumeni with actor Ajith Kumar in the lead. She will soon begin to shoot under storyteller Mani Ratnam’s direction for Thug Life which has actor Kamal Haasan in lead. She is awaiting the release of her next Malayalam movie Identity with Tovino Thomas helmed by directors Anas Khan and Akhil Paul, and Ram crafted by Jeethu Joseph with superstar Mohanlal in lead. She also has a Telugu project with actor Chiranjeevi titled Vishwambhara which is set to be directed by Mallidi Vassishta.
