Actor Vaibhav lastly entertained audiences in a supporting role in GOAT – The Greatest Of All Time scripted by Venkat Prabhu with actor/politician Vijay and Sneha in the lead roles. The Ranam Aram Thavarel will soon be gracing the silver screens via his dark comedy film titled Perusu in which he has depicted the lead role. Sri Lankan film maker Ilango Ram is set to make his debut in Tamil cinema with this entertainer. Writer Balaji Jayaraman has penned dialogues and offered his assistance in fashioning the screenplay of the drama. Actress Chandini Tamilarasan and popular social media content creator Niharika N M have essayed the female lead roles in the movie. Sunil, actor and brother of Vaibhav has played a key character in the project. Perusu is poised to hit the screens worldwide on 14th of March this year.
The production unit had recently sent the drama to the censor board for certification. Now, we have news that the entertainer has cleared the censor board process with a clean ‘A’ certificate. Taking to his official X handle, storyteller Karthik Subbaraj shared a video clip of actor Vaibhav interacting with the team and wrote, “So Perusu gets an ‘A’ Certificate . . . In the video clip shared by the director, the team of Perusu has a funny discussion over why the film has been awarded with an A certificate. They also attempt to clarify that Perusu is a family entertainer. The makers had released the teaser of the venture recently which showed a family that is overcome with shock over the death of a family member. Perusu is the official Tamil re-creation of the sensational Sri Lankan movie Tentigo. The story follows the tale of two siblings who are embarrassed to find their dead father having an active erection. Their efforts to hide this from others and find a solution to the problem before the funeral makes the rest of the story.
The ensemble cast of the flick also comprises actors Karunakaran, Redin Kingsley, Bala Saravanan, VTV Ganesh, Sathya Thilakam, and Deepa Shankar. Music composer Arun Raj has been contracted to score music for songs in the venture. While music director K S Sundaramurthy has composed music for the background score. Cinematographer Sathya Thilakam has cranked the camera for the flick. Editor Sooriya Kumaraguru has been signed in to edit the venture. Art director Sunil Villuwamangalath has fashioned the background for the flick. Stunt master T G Dilip Kumar has choreographed action blocks for the movie. The entertainer is produced by S Kaarthekeyen for the production banner Ember Light Studios in association with Harman Baweja for the production house Baweja Studios Ltd, and Hiranya Perera for his home banner Silent Frames Productions.
On the professional front, actor Vaibhav is gearing up for back-to-back releases in the fantasy drama Aalambana filmed by Pari K Vijay in which he has costarred with actress Parvati Nair, and the comedy heist venture Chennai City Gangsters directed by Vikram Rajeshwar & Arun Keshav in which he has romanced actress Athulya Ravi of Murungakkai Chips fame. Beside this project, the Buffoon star has his long-delayed flick Ace Raja Rani Jackie And Joker helmed by director Anil Sunkara in which he has shared screen space with actors Shaam, Vimala Raman, and Sneha Ullal in the shelves awaiting release.
