Actor Vikram last graced the silver screen in the action-adventure project Thangalaan filmed by Pa Ranjith with actress Parvathy Thiruvothu as female lead. The Ponniyin Selvan actor will soon have a release this year in his upcoming action thriller film Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2. Filmmaker S U Arun Kumar, who delivered the critically acclaimed movie Chithha, has inked and directed the entertainer. Actress Dushara Vijayan of Sarpatta Parambarai fame has joined forces with actor Vikram for the first time in her career. The project has been shot in and around the vicinities of Tiruttani, Karaikudi, and Madurai. The movie was supposed to hit screens in January. But is now rescheduled to 27th of March. The production team is set to embark on a tour to promote the movie.
Meanwhile, the trailer of the drama was released in the recently held audio launch function of the flick. The makers have now shared it on social media. Taking to his official X handle, music composer G V Prakash Kumar dropped the trailer of Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, and worded, “Veera Dheera Sooran trailer is here for all of you. Nearly two minutes long trailer of Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 begins with a man informing his gang leader, “Brother, there are about 10 to 15 people. It will get risky if we do not wrap this quickly.” We then have a shootout. The shot cuts to a police officer telling his superior (played by S J Suryah), “Sir, they deserve it. There is no doubt about that. The festival is happening. That is why . . .” S J Suryah intrudes, “We must finish him before dawn. That is all the time we have got. The new plan is working great. We cannot miss.” We are then presented with a few swift shots of actor Vikram performing high octane action sequences. The trailer ends with someone asking Vikram, “Sure, you will not miss?” He responds, “I will take care.”
Casting crew of Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 also comprises actors S J Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Siddique, Ramesh Indhira, Prudhvi Raj, Anitha Sampath, Pavel Navageethan, S U Baalaji, Sreeja Ravi, and T Parvathi. Music director G V Prakash Kumar has scored music for the film. Two numbers ‘Kalloorum’ and ‘Aaathi Adi Aaathi’ are already released from the album. Cinematographer Theni Eswar has shouldered camera for the flick. Editor G K Prasanna has been trusted with the editing division of the flick. Art director C S Balachander has engineered sets for the flick. Action director Phoenix Prabu has fashioned action blocks for the film. Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 is bankrolled by Riya Shibu under his home banner HR Pictures.
On the work front, actor Vikram is anticipating good news regarding his long-delayed film Dhruva Natchathiram Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam scripted by director Gautham Vasudev Menon in which he has shared screen space with actors Ritu Varma, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran, and R Parthiban. The Kadaram Kondan actor is currently busy shooting for his next venture tentatively christened Chiyaan 63 helmed by Madonne Ashwin of Maaveeran fame.
