Talented actor Vikram had his last outing in the action-adventure drama Thangalaan crafted by storyteller Pa Ranjith with actress Parvathy Thiruvothu in the female lead part. The entertainer was tagged with mixed reviews by critics, and had a decent run in the box office. The Ponniyin Selvan star is now gearing up for the release of his next venture titled Veera Dheera Sooran. Director S U Arun Kumar of Chithha fame has penciled and helmed the entertainer. Actress Dushara Vijayan of Sarpatta Parambarai fame has depicted the female lead role. The makers have announced that the drama will be out in theaters in January of next year. An official update regarding the release date is expected to be made soon.
The production team has now released the teaser of the film on social media. Taking to their official X account, the production house shared a couple of posters from the movie along with a link to the teaser of Veera Dheera Sooran, and wrote, “Presenting to you… the Kaali you were all eagerly waiting for. A tale of vengeance awaits… Veera Dheera Sooran is out now. Chiyaan’s Veera Dheera Sooran teaser. A S U Arun Kumar picture. A G V Prakash Kumar musical. Nearly two minutes long teaser of Veera Dheera Sooran opens to a woman calling out for the shopkeeper in a convenience store. Actor Vikram, not wanting to disturb a sleeping child, attends to her with a subdued voice. Initially he is presented as a soft character minding his own business. It does not take much long before things get heated. We are introduced to S J Suryah, who plays a cop snapping at his colleague. Then we have a character warning about the seriousness of a case, “This is not like the usual cases we see. If we do not nail it tonight, we will never get another chance.” In a shot we see actor Vikram throw in a punch dialogue before getting into action, “Do not do it. Just walk away. I am doing you a favour here.”
Earlier actor S J Suryah, impressed by the work ethic of director S U Arun Kumar wrote highly of him on social media which engendered high expectations on the film. The fabulous teaser cut has further skyrocketed expectations. The drama is said to be released in two parts with the sequel being released prior to the first part. Apart from Vikram and Dushara Vijayan, Veera Dheera Sooran also features S J Suryah, Malayalam actors Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Siddique in pivotal supporting roles. Music composer G V Prakash Kumar has handled musical gears for the venture. Theni Eswar ISC has been trusted with the cinematography division of the movie. Editor G K Prasanna has been brought onboard to edit the drama. Art director C S Balachander has fashioned sets for the flick. Action director Phoenix Prabu has choreographed action blocks. Veera Dheera Sooran is backed by Riya Shibu under his production label HR Pictures.
On the work front, actor Vikram is eagerly awaiting the release of his long-delayed movie Dhruva Natchathiram Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The ensemble cast of the film has actors Ritu Varma, Simran, R Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, and Dhivyadharshini in crucial supporting roles.
