Actor Vemal lastly put on a spectacular show alongside actor Karunas in Pogumidam Vegu Thooramillai helmed by director Micheal K Raja. Actor Soori had his last outing in the critically acclaimed flick Kottukkaali which hit the theaters under P S Vinothraj’s direction with Malayalam actress Anna Ben in lead role. Both actors Vemal and Soori will soon be seen together on screens in the upcoming action thriller christened Badava. Actress Shrita Rao has been paired with actor Vemal in the film. Story teller K V Nandha has written and helmed the flick. The entertainer has been in the post production stage for more than a year. Finally, there is some good news on the project.
The makers have now announced a release window for the flick on social media. Badava is all set to release in the month of October. Taking to his official X account, MRO Nikil Murukan shared a poster from the movie and captioned it, “Badava starring Vemal, Soori, Shrita Rao gearing up for the October release. The trailer of Badava which was released a long time ago had actors Vemal and Soori as loafers who spend their time drinking and creating ruckus in their village. But when a greedy brick chamber owner poses a threat to the livelihood of the village, they decide to put up a fight. The makers are currently working on locking a date for release. An official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made soon. Apart from Vemal, Soori, and Shrita Rao, the movie has actor KGF Ram as the antagonist, while Devadarshini, Nama Narayanan, and Senthil have essayed pivotal supporting characters. Music director M John Peter who has composed music for the drama has also bankrolled the project under his home label J Studio International. Cinematographer Ramalingam has been behind camera for the movie. Editor Vinoth Kanna has been roped in to handle the editing division. Art director Saravana Abiraman has taken care of the background. Stunt man Siruthai Ganesh has designed action blocks.
On the work front, actor Vemal will next be seen on screens in Sir directed by Bose Venkat in which he has shared screen space with actress Chaya Kannan. He is currently busy shooting for his next venture Desingu Raja 2 helmed by director Ezhil. Actress Pujita Ponnada has been booked to play the female lead in the entertainer. Apart from these films, the Kanni Raasi actor has Lucky crafted by storyteller Prasanth Pandiyaraj, Sandakkari scripted by director Madhesh in which he has associated with actress Shriya Saran, and Enga Pattan Sothu filmed by Sargunam in which he has romanced actress Anicka Vikhraman in the shelves awaiting releases. On the other hand, actor Soori is gearing up for a back-to-back release in Viduthalai part 2 filmed by auteur Vetrimaaran in which he has collaborated with actors Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sre, and Manju Warrier, and Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai helmed by Ram in which he will be seen alongside actors Nivin Pauly and Anjali.
