Actor Vetri Sudley who fell in the attention of Tamil cinema audience with his performances in the critically acclaimed films 8 Thottakkal, and Jiivi had his last outing in the action thriller Memories which hit the screens under the directorial of Syam Praveen with actress Parvathy Arun in the female lead role. The movie opened to mixed reviews from both critics and audience. Thus, had a tepid response at the box office. The actor has now put that behind him, and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming venture christened Iravu. Story teller Jagadeesan Subu who had previously helmed Bakrid has written and directed the movie. He has worked on the screenplay with writers Maya Munieshwaran, and Babu Tamizh. Writer Babu Tamizh has written dialogues for the film. The entertainer which went on floors a while back with a small pooja ceremony is now wrapped, and is in the post production stage shaping up for release.
The production house has now unveiled the teaser of the entertainer on social media. Director Pandiraj has launched the teaser. Taking to his official twitter handle, the director dropped a link to the teaser of Iravu and wrote, “Teaser looks promising. Nearly two minute teaser cut opens to actor Vetri locked in a room. He calls for help. Suddenly he is haunted by an eerie voice. Disturbed by the noise, actor Ponnambalam asks, “Who the hell is howling over there?” Then the shot cuts to a hospital where actor Vetri says to actress Aria Selvaraj, “You said, you want to talk about something important.” She responds, “Hello, lie down please.” Then asks him, “Do you love me?” To which a character throws a one-liner, “Oh my! Frighten the daylights out.” Followed by a quip by actor Mansoor Ali Khan from inside a car stranded in traffic, “Crazy fellow, if you play songs and honk horn how can they hear the sound of horn?” Then we see him explaining to a priest, “I don’t believe in spirits father, because of this drunkard I brought you here.” We then have people describing the presence of a ghost. A character says, “Around 12 pm, all the ghosts ganged up in the corner and started laughing together.” Another character asks, “Two female spirits are living here, can you feel their presence?” From the teaser one can read that the team of Iravu aims to deliver a horror comedy.
Apart from actor Vetri Sudley, Iravu has actress Aria Selvaraj playing the female lead role. The casting division of the drama has actors Finally Bhaarath, Sunitha Gogoi, Mansoor Ali Khan, Santhana Bharathi, Ponnambalam, George Maryan, V Seshu, Puvi Arasu, Deepa Sankar, Kalki, Jasper, Crane Manohar, Thillaimani, Udumalai Ravi, Maya Munieshwaran, Amjath Manimegalai, and Mythili Sathyajith depicting various other supporting roles. Music director L V Muthu Ganesh has handled musical instruments for the project. Cinematographer Sreenivas Dhayanithi has shouldered cameras for the venture. Editor C S Prem Kumar has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the movie. Art director K Madhan Kumar has designed the background for the drama. Stunt master Fire Karthick has choreographed action moves for the flick. The entertainer is produced by Murugaraj Jefe under the banner house M10 Productions.
On the work front, actor Vetri Sudley who had his last outing in Memories is currently busy shooting for his next entertainer titled Theenkirai under the direction of filmmaker C Sivam Prakash Raghavadass in which he will be co starring with actress Aadhira Panilakshmi, for Kannagi filmed by director Yashwanth Kishore in which he will be seen alongside actresses Keerthi Pandian, and Vidya Pradeep, for an untitled project crafted by Ashraf in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Shilpa Manjunath, and for a venture helmed by storyteller Shaams. Apart from these flicks, the actor has Bumper directed by M. Selvakumar in which he has romanced actress Shivani Narayanan, and Red Sandal scripted by filmmaker Guru Ramaanujam in which he has collaborated with actress Diya Mayuri in various stages of post production getting refined for release.
