Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Part 2 Trailer: Vijay Sethupathi Stands As An Unrelenting Rebel!

Asserting auteur Vetrimaaran has a fan base on par with the leading superstars of Tamil cinema would not be a hyperbole. He has consistently managed to amaze the audience with his filmography. His last project was the much-celebrated Viduthalai which had actors Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Manju Warrier, and Bhavani Sre in the lead roles. The film was tagged with overwhelming positive reviews by critics and enjoyed a fantastic reception among audiences. There were massive expectations regarding the release of the second part. But post production work on the second installment consumed a lot of time. Finally, we have good news that all works have been wrapped and Viduthalai Part 2 is slated to hit the theaters on 20th of December.

The makers have now released the trailer of the entertainer on social media. Taking to his official X account, actor Vijay Sethupathi dropped a poster from the movie along with a link to the trailer of Viduthalai Part 2 and worded it, “Most anticipated Viduthalai Part 2 trailer is out now. Direction by Vetrimaaran. An intense period crime thriller. An Ilaiyaraaja musical. Viduthalai Part 2 From Dec 20.” Here is the post made by the actor.

Nearly three minute long trailer is filled with rebellious and hard-hitting dialogues. It opens to the voiceover of Vijay Sethupathi, “When we started to bring people together through land, race, and language, you could not gain political advantage with caste, religion, class differences. That is when it started, this fear. In that fear you propagated us as divisive elements. Violence is not our language. But we can speak that language too.” Later in a scene he says, “All those who stand with the oppressed are our comrades.” Then we are presented with a few glimpses of romance. The trailer ends with a punch, “Leaders without ideology will only produce fans. That will not pave the way to progress.”

Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, Manju Warrier, Soori, and Bhavani Sre, the ensemble cast of Viduthalai Part 2 has Kishore, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Bose Venkat, Vincent Ashokan, Anurag Kashyap, Ilavarasu, Balaji Sakthivel, Saravana Subbiah, Tamizh, Chetan, Aryan, Munnar, Ramesh, Pavel Navageethan, Sardar, Sathya, and Ken Karunas.
