Actor Ajith Kumar had his last outing in the heist thriller flick Thunivu which hit the screens under direction of story teller H. Vinoth with actress Manju Warrier as female lead. The entertainer opened to mixed reviews but enjoyed a good run in the box office. The Nerkonda Paarvai actor’s next project was supposed to be helmed by filmmaker Vignesh Sivan. But due to some reasons the star actor opted out of the flick. A whole drama ensued after it. Without much noise, he calmly embarked on a bike trip with his biker gang. Soon the smoke settled and he began to silently shoot for his next entertainer Vidaamuyarchi. The shoot of the film is now wrapped and is in the post production stage. Director Magizh Thirumeni who rose to prominence through the action thriller Thadaiyara Thaakka has written and crafted the drama.

The production unit finally heeds to their call and have unveiled the teaser of the movie along with the release date on social media. Vidaamuyarchi will be hitting the theaters as a festive release on Pongal next year. Taking to their official X profile, the production team shared the teaser of Vidaamuyarchi and captioned it, “Relentless effort meets unstoppable action! The Vidaamuyarchi teaser is out now. Nearly two minutes long teaser cut opens to actors Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra throwing an evil smirk after committing a murder. We then have the introduction of Ajith Kumar without much extravagance who seems to be on a mission to solve a crime. The teaser ends with, “When everyone, everything, forsake you, believe in yourself.” A promo clip of the star performing an intense action block in Azerbaijan went viral online sending his fan army into a frenzy. There are massive expectations on the venture. Earlier speaking to a leading media house, the actor’s PRO Suresh Chandra disclosed that the actor will be depicting the role of a doting husband in the entertainer.
Action king Arjun Sarja has once again teamed up with actor Ajith Kumar after their blockbuster venture Mankatha for a vital role in the movie. Actresses Trisha Krishnan and Regina Cassandra have been brought on board to portray the female lead parts. Cast of Vidaamuyarchi also includes big boss Tamil title winner Aarav, Dasarathi, Ganesh, and Nikhil Nair. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander will be scoring music for the project. Vidaamuyarchi marks the third time association of the musician with actor Ajith Kumar following their chartbuster tracks in Vedalam and Vivegam. Cinematographer Om Prakash has taken care of the cinematography department of the movie. The editing division has been handed over to editor N. B. Srikanth. Action director Supreme Sundar has fashioned action moves for the flick. Art director Milan has designed the background. The drama is backed by Subaskaran Allirajah under the production banner Lyca Productions. OTT platform Netflix has bagged the digital rights of the film.
On the professional front, actor Ajith Kumar is also gearing up for the release of his next venture titled Good Bad Ugly. Director Adhik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayanthara fame has helmed the project. The ensemble cast of the project comprises actress Trisha Krishnan, Prabhu, Prasanna, and Arjun Das. On the other hand, actress Trisha Krishnan is awaiting consecutive releases in Malayalam in Ram directed by Jeethu Joseph with Mohanlal as lead, and Identity filmed by directors Anas Khan and Akhil Paul in which she has collaborated with Tovino Thomas. She will also be seen in a pivotal role in the most awaited entertainer Thug Life scripted by auteur Mani Ratnam with Kamal Haasan in the lead role.
