Actor Vijay Antony had his last outing in the action thriller film Hitler crafted by director Dhana with actress Riya Suman in the female lead role. The flick was pinned with negative reviews from critics and left theaters unnoticed. The Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan actor will soon open his account this year with his Tamil Telugu bilingual project titled Shakthi Thirumagan. The Telugu version is christened Bhadrakaali. This project will mark actor Vijay Antony’s 25th film milestone. Storyteller Arun Prabu Purushothaman, who shot to fame with the stellar film Aruvi, has penciled and crafted the flick. Actress Trupti Ravindra is set to make her debut in Kollywood with her female lead role in the entertainer. Veteran actor Vaagai Chandrasekhar has portrayed a pivotal part.
The production house has now released the teaser of the entertainer on social media. Taking to his official X profile, producer S R Prabhu dropped the teaser of Shakthi Thirumagan and captioned it, “Aruvi meets Pitchaikaaran vibe in this teaser!! I am sure the film will be even better!! So happy for you Arun Prabu, Shakthi Thirumagan team & Vijay Antony sir.” Here is the post made by the producer.
Two minute teaser of Shakthi Thirumagan opens to the birth of a child. The scene cuts to actor Vaagai Chandrasekhar teaching a child, “Patience will one day lead to success, lies and slander will be destroyed.” Then we have a voiceover, “He has pulled off an unprecedented event in history. It is going to be the biggest scam of the nation. Everyone in the secretariat is perplexed. Based on the data we have received so far it is around 6236 crores.” In a shot, we see an enquiry officer asking Vijay Antony in a cell, “If you are interested in politics, you should have entered the game. If it is popular and image, you should have hung up posters. If you are an extremist against the government, you should have gone to the beach and said down . . . down. You are none of the above. Who are you?” The teaser ends with actor Vijay Antony saying, “It is just a beginning.”
Cast of Shakthi Thirumagan includes actors Sunil Kripalani, Cell Murugan, Kiran, Rini Bot, Riya Jithu, and child artist Master Keshav. Vijay Antony himself has worked on the musical department of the drama. Cinematographer Shelley Calist has once again teamed up with Arun Prabu Purushothaman after Aruvi and Vaazhl. Editor Raymond Derrick Crasta has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the flick. Art director Sreeraman has fashioned sets for the venture. Action director Rajashekar has designed action moves for the entertainer. Shakthi Thirumagan is bankrolled by Vijay Antony himself along with Meera Vijay Antony for the banner house Vijay Antony Film Corporation.
On the work front, actor Vijay Antony is presently engaged in his next project Gagana Maargan filmed by director Leo John Paul in which he will be co starring with actresses Prithika and Brigida Saga. Apart from this venture, the Romeo star has three long delayed films Valli Mayil crafted by Suseenthiran in which he has shared screen space with actors Faria Abdullah & Sathyaraj, Agni Siragugal scripted by Naveen in which he has collaborated with actors Arun Vijay & Akshara Haasan, and Khakhee helmed by A Senthil Kumar in which he has performed alongside actors Jai, Sathya Raj, and Indhuja Ravichandran in the box waiting to see the light of day.
