Actor Vijay Sethupathi had his last outing recently in the period political crime thriller film Viduthalai Part 2 crafted by auteur Vetrimaaran with actress Manju Warrier in the female lead role. The entertainer opened to mixed reviews from critics. However, it is still running successfully in theaters. The Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir actor is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming flick Ace. Director Arumuga Kumar, who had previously worked with actor Vijay Sethupathi in Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, has penned and directed the flick. Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth is set to make her debut in Tamil cinema with her female lead part in the drama. Comedian Yogi Babu has essayed the sidekick of Vijay Sethupathi in the movie. Predominant portion of the entertainer was shot in Malaysia. The shoot for the flick was wrapped a couple of months ago.
The production house has now begun to promote the movie. As part of it, they have launched a special poster from the film on the occasion of New Year and have extended their wishes on social media. Taking to his official X account, actor Yogi Babu shared the special poster from Ace and wrote, “Let us shuffle into 2025 and play our game right! Team ACE wishes you a very Happy New Year! Art Director C K Mujabir Rahmaan has erected sets for the drama. Action director Sudheesh has choreographed action moves. The project is produced by director Arumuga Kumar himself under the banner house 7 Cs Entertainment.
On the professional front, actor Vijay Sethupathi will soon have two consecutive releases under Mysskin’s directorial via Train in which he has collaborated with actors Narain, Ira Dayanand, and Nassar, and Pisasu 2 in which he will be seen alongside actresses Andrea Jeremiah and Poorna. Beside this project, the actor has his long-delayed venture Gandhi Talks directed by Kishor Pandurang Belekar in which he has co-starred with actors Arvind Swamy, and Aditi Rao Hydari. On the other hand, actor Yogi Babu is awaiting the release of Malai helmed by IP Murugesh in which he has shared screen space with actress Lakshmi Menon, Miss Maggie crafted by Latha R Maniyarasu in which he has associated with Madhampatty T P Rangaraj and Aathmika. The Kozhipannai Chelladurai star is currently occupied with his upcoming movies Evidence scripted by Ranjith Manikandan in which he will be co starring with actor Sasikumar, and Medical Miracle directed by K Johnson in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Dharsha Gupta of Cook with Comali fame.
