Writers and directors Pushkar and Gayathri was the talk of the town when their mega hit block buster film Vikram Vedha hit the screens. The film portrayed Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi totally in a different angle earning him a lot of critical acclamation from the critics as well as the audience. The film also earned accolades for actors R. Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath for their roles in the film. When Vikram Vedha hit the screens many thought that it was the duo’s first directorial venture not being aware of the experimental films Oram Po and Va Quarter Cutting, which had already hit the screens under their directorial skills.
We're excited to embark on a new adventure! The launch of our production house: 'Wallwatcher Films'.
Our focus will be on stories and storytellers.

Even after the miserable failure of their first two experimental films the duo did not give up on their hopes of delivering a one of its kind film to Tamil cinema audience. That is how they managed to dig gold through Vikram Vedha, a cat and mouse gangster tale that kept the box office rolling which gained the attention of many Bollywood producers. Now, the film is said to be remade in Bollywood in a grander scale with big stars in the lead roles. The project is said to be co produced by Y Not Studios partnering with Reliance Entertainment and Plan C Studios.
Now, the husband and wife duo have hit the news for all positive reasons. The duo have officially launched their production house and has let out an official joint statement in twitter announcing the launch of their production venture. The duo has named their production house as Wallwatcher Films which is quite intriguing, it not it? They are also gearing up to produce their very first film under the banner very soon.
Taking to their joint Twitter account the directors posted a picture with their production house’s logo along with the name of their banner and stated that many years ago they had listened to many interesting scripts from many young talents from the industry. Though they were very much interested in many scripts, due to lack of resource and bandwidth they were unable to produce the films then. They ended with the statement that ‘Now, the time has come.’
Interestingly, they also revealed that they will be making an official announcement of their maiden project soon. We will have to wait to see what the fate has in its sleeves for the talented directors. We wish them both well to succeed in their production venture as well, like they did in their director’s hat.
