Actor Vishal was last seen on screens in the action thriller drama Veerame Vaagai Soodum which hit the screens under the direction of story teller Thu Pa Saravanan with actress Dimple Hayathi as the female lead. The entertainer did not live up to the expectations, and as a result did a poor business. Now the actor has moved on and is busy with his next project titled Mark Antony. Director Adhik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayanthara fame has written and directed the venture. Actor S J Suryah will be playing the antagonist in Mark Antony. Actress Ritu Varma will be seen in the female lead role. The project went on floors a couple of months back and the shooting for the flick was happening in full swing. Unfortunately, actor Vishal got injured while shooting for the film and is currently convalescing.
The Poojai actor recently celebrated his 45th birthday. As a gesture to celebrate his birthday, the production unit has unveiled the first look poster of Mark Antony on social media. Actor Arya, best buddy of actor Vishal, has dropped the first look poster of the film. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor shared the first look poster and wrote, “Here’s the fiery first look of darling Vishal Mark Antony. Happy birthday darling. Indeed, the first look poster has Vishal in a fierce and never seen before look. The Aambala actor is seen sporting a thick beard with a gun in hand firing in rage. The background is made of guns, bullets, and a rising sun. The first look poster has turned viral. The expectations on the venture have skyrocketed. Mark Antony still has 100 days of shooting left. The shooting for the entertainer will soon resume in Chennai once the actor is fit to shoot. It is said that the production unit is in plans to bring the flick to the theaters by the beginning of next year.
Apart from actors Vishal, S J Suryah, and Ritu Varma, Mark Antony has veteran actor Nizhalgal Ravi in a crucial role. The music for the drama has been handled by G V Prakash Kumar. Cinematographer Abinandhan Ramanujam has been behind the camera for the flick. The editing department of the entertainer has been handed over to editor Vijay Velukutty. Master Ravi Varma has choreographed the stunt sequences of the film. The project is produced by S Vinod Kumar under the banner house Mini Studios LLP.
On the work front, actor Vishal who was last seen on screens in Veerame Vaagai Soodum is currently busy shooting for his upcoming project titled Laththi under the direction of debutant film maker A. Vinoth Kumar in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Sunaina, and for the sequel of Thupparivaalan under his own direction after firing filmmaker Mysskin. On the other hand, actor S J Suryah who had a last outing in Kadamaiyai Sei is currently busy shooting for his next project titled Bommai helmed by director Radha Mohan in which he will be seen romancing actress Priya Bhavani Shankar. Apart from this project, the actor has a couple of his long-delayed entertainers christened Uyarndha Manithan filmed by storyteller Tamilvannan, and Iravaakaalam scripted by Ashwin Saravanan in the shelves waiting to see the daylight.
