Vishal has completed his dubbing for Mysskin’s Thupparivaalan. In the film is going to portray the character of a detective. Needless to say, Vishal is pretty excited about playing a sleuth for the first time in his career.
In a recent interview he opened up about his character and the film. He said, “How many of us have seen a detective in real life? The only time I remember seeing them on screen is in Jaishankar’s and Telugu actor Krishna’s films. So, when Mysskin offered me this film, I just lapped it up. He believes that content is king and has got on board a brilliant cast. I play this guy who doesn’t talk much, but is very intellectual. He is always pensive. He wears a scarf, a cap and shades so that no one can figure out what’s going on in his mind. In fact, as part of the preparation, Mysskin told me not to talk too much (laughs). Doing this film has been a learning experience for me, both as an actor and an aspiring filmmaker. This film will be a game-changer for me. This movie is a complete deviation from that formula — there are no songs in this — and I strongly believe that doing Thupparivalan at this point in my career was a right decision.”
