Actor Vishal had his last outing in the action thriller Veeramae Vaagai Soodum which hit the screens under the direction of Thu Pa Saravanan with actress Dimple Hayathi as the female lead. The entertainer opened to mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike. As a result, it fell flat in the box office. The Vedi actor has now put that behind him, and is now getting ready for the release of his next drama christened Laththi. Debutant director A. Vinoth Kumar has helmed the drama. Actress Sunaina will be seen in the female lead role in the flick. The flick which went on floors some time ago has now been wrapped, and is in the post production stage.

The two minutes odd trailer opens to a bird’s eye view shot of a highway with a voiceover saying, “What happens here should not be a mere incident that can be easily forgotten. For many years to come, this incident should be the talk of the town.” Following it we get a glimpse of high intensity action portions, and what seems to be a catastrophic accident. Then we see a henchman enquiring, “Which policemen had the gall to lay a finger on my son?” The trailer lays forth the personal side of actor Vishal’s character where we see him asking his son while dropping him off at school, “Hey Rasu. Just for today. Can I come inside with you?” He responds, “You can walk in to my school only in your police uniform, pa.” We see higher officials of Vishal’s character use him to exercise 3rd degree punishments on inmates. The trailer ends with actor Vishal mouthing a punch dialogue, “If I was given a Laththi to beat you black and blue. That is not an order issued by my higher up. Offer!”
Actor Vishal plays a constable named Muruganantham. The Avan Ivan actor got injured multiple times while performing the action blocks. The trailer enfolds some of the high-octane action sequences. The trailer is sure to engender high anticipation among the aficionados of the star. Apart from actors Vishal, and Sunaina, Laththi has veteran actor Prabhu in a vital role. The casting department of the drama includes Misha Ghoshal, Thalaivasal Vijay, and Munishkanth playing various other supporting parts. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the flick. Cinematographer Balasubramaniam has taken care of the cinematography division of the drama. Editor N. B. Srikanth has trimmed the venture. Stuntman Peter Hein has choreographed the action moves for the film. Art director Kannan has erected the sets for the movie. The project is funded by Ramana and Nandaa under the production company RANA Productions.
On the work front, actor Vishal who had his last outing in the action drama Veerame Vaagai Soodum is currently busy shooting for his upcoming movie christened Mark Antony crafted by debutant director Adhik Ravichandran in which he will be seen alongside actor S.
