Actor Vishnu Vishal was beaten down after delivering a series of flops in the industry. At a spell of a very dark phase his redemption came in director Ram Kumar’s comedy flick Mundasupatti which hit the theaters back in the year 2014 with actress Nandita Swetha in the female lead role. The film made on shoestring budget kept the box office rolling and went on to be a decent commercial success. Yet again the duo teamed up for a crime thriller titled Ratsasan which became a massive success not just in the state but throughout the nation. As a result, it got remade in multiple languages. The actor bagged several accolades for his performance in the movie. Now, nearly after half a decade we have an interesting update on the drama.Â
Over the years, on numerous occasions the rumor that the sequel of Ratsasan is on cards, used to make headlines in the cinema column. But there will be no follow up news on that. However, this time around the news is that actor Vishnu Vishal and director Ram Kumar are all set to team up for the third time, know what? It is going to be the second part of the blockbuster flick Ratsasan. It is said that an official confirmation regarding the update will be made in the coming weeks. This piece of news is sure to make the fans of the film excited. At present, both actor Vishnu Vishal and director Ram Kumar are engaged in other projects. Upon finishing up their respective works the duo will come together for the sequel. There is also news that the duo would team up for an untitled project before getting into the sequel of Ratsasan.Â
The first installment of the drama had actors Amala Paul, Saravanan, Yasar, Kaali Venkat, Abhirami, Baby Monica, Ramdoss, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, Raveena Daha, Usha Elizabeth, Suzane George, Nizhalgal Ravi, Sangili Murugan, Ragavi Renu, Trishala, Priya, Vinod Sagar, Gajaraj, Jai Anand, Thangam Paramanantham, Pasupathi, Sanjay, Nehah Menon, Adhithri Dinesh, Ravishankar, Rekha Padmanaban, Akshay, Kumar Das, Geetha Narayanan, Radha Ravi, Ghibran, and Karunakaran essaying various other supporting roles. The music for the entertainer was composed by Ghibran. Cinematographer P. V. Shankar had cranked the camera for the film. The entertainer was edited by editor San Lokesh. The flick was bankrolled by G. Dilli Babu, and R. Sridhar under the production house Axess Film Factory. As of now, it is unclear how many of the cast and crew will be returning for the second installment of the entertainer. An update on the same is expected to be made soon.Â
On the work front, actor Vishnu Vishal who was last seen on screens in the action thriller FIR is getting ready for the release of next drama Mohan Das scripted by Murali Karthick in which he will be seen alongside actress Aishwarya Rajesh. The actor is currently busy shooting for his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual venture christened Gatta Kusthi under the direction of story teller Chella Ayyavu. Apart from these ventures, the actor has his long-delayed movies Idam Porul Eval which is helmed by story teller Seenu Ramasamy, and Veera Dheera Sooran directed by filmmaker Shankar Dayal in the shelves awaiting release. On the other hand, filmmaker Ram Kumar is busy with the pre-production works of an untitled flick which is set to have actor Sivakarthikeyan in the lead.
