Filmmaker Ram garnered attention of Tamil cinema audience right away in his debut with his impactful drama Kattradhu Thamizh which had actors Jiiva and Anjali in lead roles. The movie did not perform well commercially. But received widespread critical acclamations, laying a robust foundation for him in Kollywood. The director who lastly crafted the Mammootty starrer Peranbu will soon have a release in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai. Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly who introduced himself to Tamil cinema audience through Neram and became popular through Premam has played the lead role. Actress Anjali will be seen in the female lead part. The entertainer is expected to hit the theaters in September this year.
The production house has now unveiled a song from the movie on social media. Lyricist Madhan Karky has written the lyrics. Music director Santhosh Narayan has crooned the number. Taking to his official X account, actor Nivin Pauly dropped the link to the single ‘Yezhezhu Malai’ and wrote, “Feel the magic unfold. Voice of Santhosh Narayan in Yuvan’s music. Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai has been screened in multiple international film festivals like Moscow, Rotterdam, and Transilvania international film festival (TIFF). It has received standing ovations from the audience in all festivals. Apart from Nivin Pauly and Anjali, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai has actor Soori essaying a pivotal part. Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai will mark the fifth collaboration of musician Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ram after their much celebrated associations in Kattradhu Thamizh, Thanga Meengal, Taramani, and Peranbu. First single from Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai titled ‘Marupadi Nee’ was released in February this year. Cinematographer N K Ekhambaram has cranked the camera for the flick. Editor V S Mathi has worked in the editing department. Stunt master Stunt Silva has choreographed the action blocks. Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai is produced by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner label V House Productions.
On the professional front, actor Nivin Pauly will next make his debut in the digital space with his Malayalam drama titled Pharma directed by P R Arun. Actress Shruti Ramachandran has been brought on board to play the female lead part in the movie.
