The comedian turned hero is one of the busiest actors of Kollywood industry. Though he began his career as a comedian the Nayanthara starrer film Kolamavu Kokila gave him the fillip that he needed to revive his career. Now the actor is almost in every film that makes it to the theaters on weekends. The actor is now busy signing films as hero.
The actor who is currently gearing up for the release of Dharma Prabhu has once again signed a horror comedy thriller film. The film is titled as Pyaar (love) and will be directed by Milka Selvakumar, the former assistant director of Raghava Lawrence. The director has already directed a film titled Sandimuni starring Natraj, Manisha Yadav and Yogi Babu. But the film is yet to hit the screens. The upcoming film Pyaar is said to be a ghost love story and actor Yogi Babu is set to toil to unite a love of a man and a female ghost. In fact the film has under gone its first schedule of the shoot and the film unit is expected to begin full fledged shooting by the end of July. Apart from Yogi Babu the film has Chaams, Aarthi, Vasu Vikram and Shabi Babu donning various other roles.
Recently speaking about the project the director said, “The film is not the usual ghost revenge story or just another horror film. It is about the love of a ghost and a man who is alive; it is about the romance between the two. The hero in the film will be helping to unite the couple and we have scripted it in a comical way. We have shot the film is many amazing locations including hill stations like Ooty, Coonoor, and Palani.”
Speaking about how he bagged this opportunity before the release of his first film the directed said, “Well, I am lucky to bag two films in quick succession. I finished my first venture Sandimuni within the fixed time span. The project was shot without any compromise in the script as well as within the planned period. My new producers were impressed by the outcome of the film and signed me for this flick,” concluded the director.
On the work front, actor Yogi Babu has numerous films in his kitty this year. The actor who is gearing up for the release of his hero centric film Dharma Prabhu is busy shooting for multiple projects like Pannikutty, Gurkha, and he is also playing a part in Thalapathy 63. The actor recently wrapped up the shoot of his film Zombie co starring with Yashika Aanand.
