Actor Yogi Babu is one of the busiest artists in Kollywood with more than half a dozen projects in his pipeline. The Panni Kutty actor was last seen on screen in the action thriller Haraa crafted by G Vijay Sri with veteran actor Mohan making a comeback to Kollywood after a lengthy break. The Yaanai Mugathaan star is set to make his debut as a lead hero in digital space through the web series christened Chutney Sambar. Film maker Radha Mohan of Abhiyum Naanum fame has crafted the flick. He has sought the assistance of writer Pon Parthiban to pen the script of the series. Actress Vani Bhojan of Oh My Kadavule fame has essayed a key part in the series. The web series will premiere on the Disney + Hotstar Tamil OTT platform from 26th of July this year.
Teaser of Chutney Sambar was recently launched by the production team. The makers have now released the trailer of the web series on social media. Taking to their official X profile, Disney + Hotstar Tamil shared the trailer of Chutney Sambar and captioned it, “Pakka Fam – Com entertainment on the way! Chutney Sambar trailer introduces us to a hotel in Ooty named Amudha Café whose owner on his death bed desires to meet Sachin, the owner of a small roadside eatery in Chennai called Amudha Unavagam. Sachin refuses to travel to Ooty. So, his family members sedate Sachin and take him to Ooty. A shocking revelation dazes both Sachin and the family members opening a pandora’s box. Chutney Sambar has actors Nithin Sathya, R Sundarrajan, Charlie, Kumaravel, Illango, Krish Hassan, Samyuktha Vishwanath, Ilan, Akilan, Mynaa Nandini, Deepa Shankar, and Keshav Raj playing various supporting roles. Musician Ajesh Ashok of Super Singer fame has handled the musical department of the series. The cinematography division was overseen by cinematographer Prasanna S Kumar. Editor Jijendran Ji has brought coherence to the flick. Art director K Kadhirr has designed the background for the movie. The entertainer is funded by Ishari K Ganeshan under his production house Vels Film International.
On the professional front, actor Yogi Babu is engaged with his upcoming venture Medical Miracle directed by storyteller K Johnson. Actress Dharsha Gupta of Cook with Comali fame will be seen romancing the star in the drama. The Dhillu Irundha Poradu actor will soon revel in a back-to-back big budget releases in the likes of The Greatest Of All Time directed by Venkat Prabhu in which he will be seen alongside Vijay, Kanguva crafted by Siva with Suriya in lead, and Prashanth’s Andhagan directed by Thiagarajan. On the other hand, actress Vani Bhojan will soon be seen on screens in Pagaivanuku Arulvai directed by Anees in which she has co starred with actor Sasi Kumar. She also awaits the release of Aaryan helmed by K Praveen in which she will be seen alongside actors Vishnu Vishal and Shraddha Srinath.
