Actor Yogi Babu had his last outing recently in the romantic comedy movie Kadhalikka Neramillai directed by storyteller Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi in which he had played the sidekick of actor Jayam Ravi. The entertainer opened to mixed reviews from critics. The Local Sarakku actor will next be seen on screens in the upcoming flick titled Kuzhanthaigal Munnetra Kazhagam in which he has played the lead role. Veteran actor Senthil has depicted a prominent part in the flick. Director N Shankar Dayal, who shot to fame with the political thriller Saguni, has penciled and helmed the flick. The production house has officially announced that the film will be released worldwide on 24th of January.
The makers had launched the teaser of the movie last year on social media. Now they have unveiled the trailer of the drama. Taking to her official X profile, actress Lizzie Antony dropped a poster from the film along with a link to the trailer of Kuzhanthaigal Munnetra Kazhagam and worded, “Here’s the super fun filled official Trailer of Kuzhanthaigal Munnetra Kazhagam. Movie releasing on January 24th in theatres! KMK movie from Jan 24.” Here is the post made by the actress.
Two minute trailer of Kuzhanthaigal Munnetra Kazhagam starts with a voiceover, “Avadi corporation is up for its first election, after breaking away from Chennai corporation.” The shot cuts to veteran actor Senthil who plays a political leader convincing two factions fighting for nomination, “If I allocate the seat to your wife, his wife will be upset and vice versa.” To which Yogi Babu responds, “Leader we will contest the election as independent candidates, whoever wins will become the cleaner, uh . . . mayor.” Parallelly, in the scene at a school we witness a group of students saying to a fellow, “Leader HM has announced the election of school pupil leader.” Subsequently, in a scene we see actor Yogi Babu getting philosophical, “Even when the one who has sown the seeds sleep, the seeds do not sleep.” He then mouths a satire, “We do not betray our cadres, we only betray people.”
Beside Yogi Babu and Senthil, the entertainer also has actors Imayavarman, Harika Peddada, Saravanan, Advaith Jai Masthaan, Papri Ghosh, Lizzie Antony, and Bhavas portraying various supporting characters. Musician Saadhaga Paravaigal Shankar has scored music for songs. Music composer John Robins has handled musical gears for background score. Cinematographer J Laxman has been behind the lens for the movie. Editor Richard Kevin has been roped in to trim the entertainer. Art director C K Mujabir Rahmaan has fashioned a background for the venture. Action director Sudheesh has designed action blocks. Kuzhanthaigal Munnetra Kazhagam is backed by Arun Kumar Sammantham in collaboration with N Shankar Dayal for their production label Meenakshi Amman Movies.
On the work front, actor Yogi Babu is getting ready for his future releases via Malai crafted by IP Murugesh in which actress Lakshmi Menon has played the lead, Evidence directed by Ranjith Manikandan in which he has performed alongside actor Sasikumar, and Medical Miracle directed by K Johnson in which he has romanced actress Dharsha Gupta of Cook with Comali fame. The Butler Balu star is currently engaged in his upcoming films Ace helmed by Arumuga Kumar in which he will be sharing screen space with actor Vijay Sethupathi, Poochandi scripted by director Krishnan Jayaraj in which he will be starring alongside actress Anjali, and a Telugu drama The Raja Saab crafted by Maruthi in which he will be associating with superstar Prabhas.
