Actor Yogi Babu lastly entertained audiences in the political comedy flick Otha Votu Muthaiya helmed by Sai Rajagopal in which he had played the sidekick of actor Goundamani. The Jolly O Gymkhana actor will soon be back on screens via the upcoming entertainer titled Leg Piece in which he has portrayed the lead role. Actor Karunakaran has played a vital part in the drama. Actor Srinath, who has crafted projects like Muthirai and Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham, has penciled and helmed the flick. Writer S A Padmanabhan has written the story and dialogues of the entertainer. The production house has officially announced that the film will be released on 7th of March.
The makers have now launched the trailer of the drama on social media. Taking to his official X profile, actor Vishal dropped a link to the trailer of Leg Piece and said, “Very happy to launch the trailer of the Leg Piece directed by my dear friend Srinath. One-minute odd long trailer of Leg Piece starts with actor Ramesh Tilak mimicking actor Vijay’s popular salutation, “En nenji kudi irukkum nanba, nanbigal.” Subsequently, we have a woman asking, “Will they collect GST even for hair?” It is countered by actor Ramesh Tilak with, “Ji, decide which is important, your hair or life?” In a scene we see actor VTV Ganesh dressed as Kantara and says, “This Kantara is telling dei . . .” In another quip, we witness actor Mottai Rajendran mouthing, “Is it a plan to finish me? You know what this Sarpatta Parambarai punch is.” The trailer ends with the shot where actor Srinath asks Karunakaran, “Ji, are you vegetarian?” The actor responds, “I will eat non veg. But no leg piece.”
Besides Yogi Babu and Karunakaran, cast of Leg Piece also has actors Ravi Mariya, Mottai Rajendran, Ramesh Tilak, Redin Kingsley, VTV Ganesh, Mime Gopi, John Vijay, Saravana Subbiah, G Marimuthu, Chaams, Madhusudhan Rao, Srinath, and Manikandan essaying various supporting characters. Music composer Bjorn Surrao has handled musical gears for the drama. Cinematographer Masani has been behind the lens for the movie. Editors S R Shanmuga Priyan and Sathya Mohan have been roped in to trim the entertainer. Art director Mujeeb has fashioned the background for the venture. Action director Sharp Shiva has designed action blocks for the project. Leg Piece is bankrolled by C Manikandan under the production label Hero Cinemas.
