Actor Guru Somasundaram is unequivocally one of the versatile actors in Tamil cinema. His stellar performances in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Aaranya Kaandam, Karthik Subbaraj’s Jigarthanda, and Raju Murugan’s Joker propelled him into the favorite list of many cinephiles. The Vanjagar Ulagam actor was last seen on screens earlier this year in the crime thriller Bayamariya Brammai crafted by Rahul Kabali. The actor will soon have yet another outing this year in the likes of the dark comedy film christened Bottle Radha. Story teller Dhinakaran Sivalingam has written and directed the movie. Actress Sanchana Natrajan of Irudhi Suttru fame has portrayed the female lead part in the flick.
The production team has now released a song from the drama on social media. Taking to his official X account, story teller Pa Ranjith shared the track titled ‘Yov Bottle – U’ from Bottle Radha and wrote, “The gaana vibes are back with Yov Bottle – U. Yov Bottleu Bottle Radha Poster
Singers Gana Balamurugan, Gana Chella Muthu, and Gana Apelow have crooned the song. The lyrics of the song are written by Bakkiyam Shankar. Music director Sean Roldan of ‘Kadhal Kanave’ fame has composed music for the number. Dance master Sandy has choreographed dance moves for the song. The makers had earlier released the teaser of the flick on social media which garnered attention of the audience. Bottle Radha is expected to release in the month of August this year. Earlier speaking to a leading media house about the entertainer director Dhinakaran Sivalingam revealed, “The story of Bottle Radha is about a mason played by Guru sir who turns into an alcoholic which ruins his life and drives away people who are dear to him. It is about how this character navigates these struggles and finds redemption.”
Apart from actors Guru Somasundaram and Sanchana Natrajan, Bottle Radha also has actors John Vijay, Maaran, Suhasini Sanjeev, Siranjivi, Antony, Pari Elavazhagan, J P Kumar, K S Karuna, Arumugavel, Abhi Ramaiyah, Prasad, Malathi Ashok Nawin, Oviyar Sow Senthi, Naveen George Thomas, Kaala Kumar, Anbarasi, Aneesha, Madhavi Raj, and Shegar Narayana essaying various supporting parts. Cinematographer Roopesh Shaji has been behind camera for the movie. Editor E Sangathamizhan has been roped in to handle the editing division. Art director A Raja has taken care of the background. Stuntman P C Stunts has designed action blocks. The venture is funded by Pa Ranjith under his home label Nelam Productions and by T N Arun Balaji for the production house Balloon Pictures.
On the professional front, actor Guru Somasundaram is awaiting the release of his upcoming Malayalam fantasy film titled Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure crafted by Mohanlal who will also be depicting the lead role in the movie.
